A Pomsky is a mix between two breeds, the Siberian Husky and the Pomeranian. There are several different types of Pomskies, meaning generational ratios and percentages of genetics depending on the parents.

 

F1 Pomsky - is created by breeding a female Siberian Husky and a male Pomeranian, making a Pomsky puppies genetics 50/50.​

F1b Pomsky - is a Pomsky female bred to a male Pomeranian, making their puppies 25% Husky and 75% Pomeranian. The F1b Pomsky pups are much smaller and fluffier since they have more Pomeranian genetics, making the F1b a perfect lap dog! ​

F2 Pomsky - is created when a female Pomsky and a male Pomsky are bred together, making the ratios vary from pup to pup since both parents are 50/50. We have never bred F2 Pomsky pups, but are considering it in the future! 

 

   Pomskies are a beautiful crossbreed and can come in many different colors and unique patterns. We absolutely love the wild look they have, resembling little wolves and foxes! This amazing designer breed has beautiful soft fur and an adorable curled fluffy tail. The size of a Pomsky can vary: however, we find our F1 Pomsky litters grow to be 17-39lbs, and our F1b Pomskies range from 12-25lbs.

   Pomskies are very hearty healthy dogs. All our parents and puppies get vet checks and all check out to be healthy happy pups! Since Pomskies are a cross breed the genetic makeup is much healthier than a purebred. The healthier traits are due to their mixed genes, meaning Pomskies are less likely to have received a large amount of any particular genetics from the Siberian Husky or the Pomeranian. Because of this the Pomsky has a lower rate of health conditions, such as hip dysplasia, knee problems, spinal diseases, different types of cancers, heart disease, and other health conditions that purebred dogs tend to carry from generation to generation. Crossbreeding is definitely improving the longevity of mans best friend! Basically Pomskies are an amazing breed and we absolutely love being able to put our heart and soul into these wonderful companions! 

 

   Our Pomskies typically require a moderate activity level that can be adaptable to their owners lifestyle. Like any breed Pomskies are happiest with going on a walk or active playtime each day.
